Advance Notice in Israel
Rule: Advance notice is required for both termination and resignation.
If not given, monetary compensation must be paid instead.
Monthly Employee
| Seniority | Notice Days |
|---|---|
| Months 1-6 | 1 day per month worked |
| Months 7-12 | 6 days + 2.5 days per additional month |
| 1+ years | Full month (30 days) |
Rights During Notice Period
- Employee entitled to full salary
- If fired: entitled to job search hours (up to 1 day/week)
- Employer can waive work and pay instead
- Cannot deduct from vacation days
